Rennes Airport Access
The Rennes Airport is located about 6 kilometers southwest of the city of Rennes, in the town of Saint Jacques de la Lande.
To get to the airport by car take the E50/N136 road (this is part of the ring road that circles Rennes), take junction 8 towards Saint Nazaire and then follow the signs for the Airport.
If you need to drop someone off at the airport there is a drop off zone just in front of the terminal. It is also possible to park at the airport for less than an hour for free. See the car park page for more information.
To get to the airport you need to take bus 57. If you arrive in Rennes at the train station, you should buy a metro ticket for 1.10€ and ride the subway for two stops (in the direction of JFK) until "République". Exit the subway system and walk through the archway between La Poste & France Telecom. You will find the 57 bus stop just on your right. Metro tickets are valid for one hour, so you should be able to use the same ticket again, but you will need to re-stamp it upon entering the bus. It takes about 15-18 minutes to get to the airport depending on the time of day. The airport stop is called "Aire Libre/Aeroport". From there, you will have to walk about 300 meters up the road to the airport.
For the trip from the airport to Rennes, you will need to exit the airport and cross the street and wait at the covered bus 57 stop. Busses run every 15 to 30 minutes, from 06:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and from 11:00 to 22:00 on Sunday. Bus frequency is reduced on the weekends, but usually fairly well-timed with the arrival of the planes.
There is a bus route map at the airport.
There is a taxi rank in front of the terminal. Fare from the airport to the city centre (or from the train station to the airport) will cost about 15-20€ depending on traffic and the time of day.
